Getting Wired: Installing Your Camera

Digital cams are designed to make your life easy and let you understand the concept of 'plug and play' It's as easy as 1-2-3.

1	Connecting
		The first step is connecting your camera to your camera. Be sure the computer is powered down or turned off. Some desktop models use a parallel port connector. Other cameras on the market use a USB cable or a PCMCIA slot connection.
2	Other connections
		This particular camera (Alaris) uses a second connector into the mouse port. Check your model's manual.
3	Software installation
		Once the connections are made, turn on/boot up your computer and install the camera's software. Usually a CD-ROM comes bundled with the camera and includes the essential applications and drivers needed for easy operation.
