1. First you should get your sketch/inked drawing and get colouring pencils. |

2. Colour in the light colours first lightly (especially if they are wax colouring pencils because it becomes difficult to apply darker layers of colour when light colours are applied darkly/not lightly). |

3. Apply dark colours. Start from the "end" of the outline, darker to
lighter. This makes a nice gradient. Get a colour that is slightly different
from the two colours you have applied already, preferably a light colour
or medium colour (e.g. if you have chosen blue and light blue, choose
a colour like lavender) and blend the two colours. |
