In this tutorial, you will hopefully learn how to do a heelflip on a skateboard. Enjoy.

The first step to doing a heelflip is having the right stance on the board. Everyone has their preferred stance, but the standard one is having your front foot in the middle of the board, with your toes hanging over the edge a bit (to make the flip easier). Your back foot should be the same as in your ollie stance (you should be able to ollie). |

The next step is the actual heelflip. While you are doing your ollie, you want to drag your front foot up to or near the nose of the board, and at the same time, flick the board outward with the toe of your front foot. |

The last, and hardest part is landing. After you have flicked the board, you need to lift your back foot up (so it doesn't hit the board) and pull your front foot back above the board. The part that most people have trouble with is that while they do the flick, they end up jumping forward, so try to keep your body centered over the board the whole time or you wont land it. Once the board has spun completely, smack both of your feet down over the truck bolts (so you don't snap your board) and land. Bend your legs to absorb the shock, and roll away. Hooray. |
