Purchase your BART ticket at the " Purchase Ticket Machine." Put the same amount of money it takes to get to your destination one way or round trip by checking on the price menu. This way you won't need your BART ticket after your trip. Unless of course you commute everyday.

Insert your BART ticket into the ticket machine with the ticket parallel to the ground and the arrow facing towards the machine. When it goes through, take it out and walk through.

Wait by the platform that has the sign that says your destination direction. When the train comes walk in and take a seat and enjoy your ride.
