The House of The Spirits
The House of The Spirits,
by Isabel Allende is a captivating book numbering 433 pages. It tells
the story of several generations of the Trueba family living through
many political upheavals in Chile. The reason I like this book is because
of the atmosphere it creates. The story is narrated in such a way that
I feel like I'm in the warm, mystical, south American world of the
characters. The images the author uses are easily imagined and many
remain in my mind. The story is exciting and imaginative
