Evil Under the Sun
As a woman, Agatha Christie
takes a new perspective in writing murder mysteries. She possesses the
great mental ingenuity in intricately weaving together the characters
in Evil Under the Sun. The murder of the seductive Arlena Marshall
suddenly interrupts the tranquility at Jolly Roger Hotel off Leathercombe
Bay. Our amusing hero Hercule Poirot, the Belgian detective, takes the
stage methodically gathering the puzzle pieces together and revealing
the development and psychology of the characters. Each person is suspected
of deadly intentions of lust and hate and Agatha keeps the readers attentive
until the very last page. Agatha adds a dash of humor and little French
remarks to her complex structure of facts and clues and creates an enchanting
and entertaining murder mystery.
